A little bit delayed but finally here, Number 10 in my Top 10 Flash Items in my collection: DC Direct’s Silver Age Flash and Kid Flash Action Figure Set with Cosmic Treadmill and Adjustable Secret Costume Ring.
This is still one of my very favorite versions of Barry Allen. The sculpted in logo and accents go a long way towards making this figure stand out in a big way. Always nice to have a different version of Wally but like with most of Wally’s figures the eyes are wrong, blue instead of green. Still both great figures so it’s hard to discount the overall appeal of the figures based on an oversight.
A couple more awesome bonuses to come out of this set; The first and only as far as I am aware, toy version of the cosmic treadmill and a pack in plastic Flash ring. The details on both are incredibly crisp, right down to the little patch of costume inside of the costume ring, representing of course the costume before it is expanded. The costume also has a “hidden” switch on the side to open it. Awesome details.
