Mattel/Fisher Price Hero World DC Super Friends The Flash Action Figure Armor-less and Comparison pics!

So last time I showed you guys pics of The Flash with his static electricity back pack and lightning-charged fists. Now we take a look at the sculpt itself and how it adds up to previous Fisher Price DC Super Friends releases.

While there were a bit of complaints from fans of the line for creating this newer slimmed down version of their toys I for one am really digging the newer sculpts. Apparently they are based on Fisher Price’s popular house brand of toys known as Rescue Heroes, which has made a similar scale and design change over the years. The new sculpted on details really make a difference when making a figure. And even though the lightning belt and wrist accents don’t go all the way around like they do on the previous model I still dig the details. Also the wings are much less flimsy on the Hero World version as the wings are sculpted into the head. It always looked to me on the original wings were put on backwards by accident as they just don’t match the look and curvature of any Flash wings I’ve seen. They also just look like they need to be flipped upside and flopped to make the necessary adjustments.

In the next comparison pic we have Hero World Flash and Flash and Hawkman Two-Pack Flash. The smaller of the two features less articulation and two legs that move together, not independently of each other. It makes it quite the challenge to try and get any decent running poses out of him. The sculpted on wings are done much better on this smaller figure though. Or maybe I should just say that I prefer the style of the wings over the bigger one.

Stay tuned for even more comparison pics and a group photo.

Cheers,

-Flash Johnson
