As promised pictures of the DC Squinkies sets I just received. There are actually four different sets (with two being exclusive to Walgreen’s) but I only ordered the ones with the Flash initially. I may have to go back and order the other two. I absolutely love these little guys. 

You know those little cheapy licensed toys that you get in vending machines? This is pretty much exactly what these guys are and about the level of quality you can expect from them. Still great little toys. They come in plastic balls just like the aforementioned vending machine toys and three in each pack are mystery characters. They also provide extra clear plastic balls to store them in as well. Unfortunately there is a bit of pant missing in certain spaces and Cyborg looks like  the late Michael Jackson, but overall these guys are fairly solid for being so small.

The choices of characters in the packs were great and come from all corners of the DC Universe. From the two packs that I picked up there are only doubles of a few characters (Flash, Superman, and Lex Luthor) and they all have unique sculpts so it was pretty awesome to get two Flashes. All in all I have two Flashes, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), two Supermen, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Batman, Aquaman, The Spectre, Deadman, Martian Manhunter, Gorilla Grodd, Nightwing, Supergirl, Green Arrow, Zatanna, Black Manta, Cheetah, Two-Face, The Joker, and Darkseid.  

Now I know I said I was going to try to avoid purchasing anything in support of the New 52 but I just can’t help myself. I mean look at them, look at them! I’m also hesitant to discontinue collecting some of my favorite lines to collect (like Heroclix) to prove a point. I guess I have to decide just how much I really care.
